Looking for a rack for my Giant Cross City 0

Postby backslashio » Wed Jul 17, 2013 2:25 pm

Picked up a Giant Cross City 0 2014 model yesterday and was intending to fit my Topeak tourist rack onto it till I started looking at the covered up screw holes in 5 different locations. Its obvious they didn't want people putting racks on these (it doesn't have a carbon seat post btw, that's the RX series) but I have to so I don't have much choice :/ Despite loving my Topeak combo, it is kinda heavy and not very stylish when not using a bag so I was considering getting a Tubus Fly instead. Does anyone know if I can simply pick off the covers with something? Its only a day old so I don't want to wreck it before knowing whether or not its possible :P

Just flip them out with a flat blade screwdriver, or if you are concerned about scratching the paint use something firm and plastic. They're just there to prevent water entering the frame.
