Always seemed strange to me that they dont at least offer the years colour range in the different levels. Colour is a personel thing and must have cost them sales over the years.

We're now at the time of year when Giant quietly set free their "early release" new models. These are typically the more "recreational" bikes; kids' bikes, hybrids, low- to mid-level MTBs and the odd roadie. These are typically new colours and mild component spec tweaks on existing frames, although at this level some new frames do sneak in with little fanfare. I'll start by breaking the suspense on one series.... If you're hanging out for a new generation TCR, you'll be hanging out for at least another year. There are some spec changes, more SRAM biased from what I've seen so far, but the frame carries over.

The Liv Avail (women's version of the Defy) has shown up on the UCI approved equipment list, so although not officially announced yet is on its way, rather logically following last year's new-generation Defy. No details of component spec have been released yet.

The Stance entry-level dual-suspension MTB (which uses a simpler suspension system than the Maestro of the "performance" duallies) shifts to a 29" wheel platform from the previous/current 27.5".

The Roam/Liv Rove series of hybrids grows to four models from the previous three; essentially the upper-middle spec has been filled by the new 2 model; what were previously 2 & 3 models are now 3 & 4.

What are the Stance bikes like? It's a while away, but I'm making a mental list of bikes for future for my son when he grows out of his 24" cheapie hardtail. If I can snag a bargain on a S/XS, are they worthwhile?

I'm guessing "yes" seeing as he's not exactly going to be doing Red Bull Rampage on it....

The Stance isn't a bad package for an entry-level duallie, running gear is mid-level, so pretty decent for a budget. If you're looking for a S or XS I'd suggest trying to scout out a runout 27.5" model, as the frame geometry is less compromised to fit around the wheels.

Duck - any chance you could find the weight of the 2019 tcr advanced sl 1 (large)?
i've found the non-sl was 8.08kgs in large
the 2020 range doesn't interest me (I'm stuck (like) on the shimano infrastructure for the time being)

I think Jason was asking about the disc-brake model which is 7.2kg in Medium.
