1 - 2 Days worth of Posts Missing + new members

Server downtime was announced for this weekend.

For some reason which I can't explain - when the host did a migration of the site to solve server performance problems (discussed here) not just 15minutes of posts were lost (during the migration) though instead 1-2 days of posts - this has affected a number of posts I have made on Saturday and Sunday.

As discussed in the other threads 1, 2 - while it is a shame that the posts are lost, if a backup was performed then all of the new posts would be missing - and while I have a backup from Saturday - I don't know how long the host would need - so it is a loose loose situation and we have to cut our losses.

Regarding new members - sorry, if you have tried to register in the last 1-2 days then you may not be a member any more - please register again.

I apologise for this and have requested an explanation from the host.

But I am glad to report that all the server speed issues have been solved. The forum is now running at lightening speed.

All posts? How Many?
We have noticed that there have been some time zone issues and lost posts issues due to the change to new servers.

A personal apology to you. Good news is that it was more limited that the 1-2 days worth lost over the weekend, and hopefully only a small hurdle on the way to unlimited speed.

Last night (I'm guessing TLL's morning) I recall losing a post able beer in the alcohol thread. That's the only one for me as the forum was too slow to use mostly. Once it was moved to it's new serer all was OK.
