Has your account been deactivated?

Postby AUbicycles » Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:30 pm

To strengthen this forum against automatic attacks which are affecting phpbb forums world wide, security measures were implemented including deactivating user accounts - users who have not recently logged in.

After logging in and receiving the error message - there are instructions to Resend activation e-mail. Click the link and an email will be sent in which you can re-activate your account by clicking on the link in the email and then you can log into the forum.

HOWEVER - you need to make sure that your password is strong to avoid your account from being taken over.
The details on the problem, plus password suggestions and link to change your password are all here: Announcement: Strong Password Required

If you still have problems activating your account, email me info@bicycles.net.au and include your username and that it needs to be activated.

Yes - you can request an account deactivation. I usually ask for a confirmation, so please email me to confirm this.

For general informatiom, accounts can be activated at a later time on request.

Sounds good for members who will be away for a lengthy period of time.

Hi All

I just got back from a holiday and my account had been deactivated; the resend activation email thingy does not work and I don't know how to get into contact with AUBicycles - I can't send a PM in this new account!

Any ideas?

easy - email info AT bicycles.net.au I believe that the email address is included in the red error text to make it easy for you to email.
Just include your username, should be quite quick.
