I find the abuse rate from motorists goes up significantly, and it's my view this is because you're a surprise to them. Fluoro yellow (not that I'm suggesting this as a colour choice) seems to provide the least aggression from motorists.

I take the point on the safety and already recognised that the jersey doesn't score maximum points for visibility - though for coolness does better.
To see what it looks like, this is inversed, though I would choose the original design in a flash over this version.
(yes, I made it small on purpose)
Yes, yellow works best on the road and as influential Bruce Lee is, I will avoid the following effect.
Next Steps - early days though safety is an aspect that, if deemed important enough by a majority in light of the original design, would mean that I would then look at how the kit can be improved, while keeping as much of the style.
While I am on it, this is a very rough mockup of an option for improved visibility.
One thing I am keeping in mind is that typically a jersey is printed on the fabric in a single size that is then cut to fit different sizes from XS to 4XL. The blue stripes on the size are intended to have a fixed width (and not fill the complete side panel) but also means a bit of thought is needed for a design that works well through all sizes. Just remember however, stripes make you go faster!

Shaun
BTW, wouldn't some of the BNA script read inverted when riding?

Other than that, the predominantly black with the large rear vertical stripe gets my vote.

I'd like to see a slogan in there as per above.ozdavo wrote:I personally love the line on the old one "Cycling is in my BNA"

I like the latest design top, but with original knicks
May still add my order to the list yet.

My hamfisted suggestions would be to make the 'traffic sign' logo larger and move it to the upper back, and extend the URL across the entire width of the back pockets. Not really a fan of the added stripes; what about the thick stripe at the back but plain black on the front, maybe with the blue side stripes extended slightly further toward the front? Noting that when worn, the side stripes will be more visible than 'flat'.

Version E
Version F
Here are some variations working in some of the general feedback. The bottom one is still my preferred solution of this lot. It improves the back stripe because a match with back pockets and stripe is one of those things that could easily go wrong.
To refresh other ideas:
• yellow stripe - it could work well with the black however for visibility would need to be quite large which would dominate.
• Agree regarding the knicks, I like the more discreet black
• BNA typo direction - I need to review this. (front view, right side, jersey side and knicks typo is current up-side-down).
• "Cycling is in my BNA" - for an all black back, this could fit well between the shoulders. With a stripe down the back, placement is harder.
In the last jerseys, there was a hidden 'cycling is in my BNA' inside the collar which I would repeat. below is an idea for integration.
• URL - happy to make it bigger, though across pockets graphics tend to get scrunched up, and to factor in different widths a simple alternative would work better across all sizes.
• General note that I am looking at having blue stitching on the black - for a nice effect.
• For the URL and 'Cycling in my BNA', to consider is that for other cyclists and (let's say) spectators, when riding and hunched over the bars, details on the back pocket will be more visible that up the top - so I have included a new variation... as I write I am updating ideas.
• QR tag... sounds cool but it's a fad that doesn't really give a lot of value.
• Reflective Stripes... not to forget I will look into these - it may mean added cost however if they can be nicely integrated, would be a strong added safety advantage.

My favourite so far is Version D. Inverted colours look heaps better with black knicks.
Version G is my next favourite. Quite like that one.
Cheers,
Dave

Also, the last edit of the list appears to have knocked a few off again.

Yes - full length zippers are planned
On the diamond logo - if a car could easily recognise it, I would be a bit scared that they are too close. Like any kit really if you see a cyclist or a bunch going past - you will notice the general style and colours, maybe some bigger text though the details will be lost until you are at the coffee shop - or MAMIL decides to do the shopping without getting changed

SCA (Safe Cycling Australia), who I supported with their design have black and yellow, and are all out for visibility.

Sorry I can't be more precise, though need to confirm, once design and specs are largely supported by the community. The good news is that there is no obligation and I will certainly present pricing before I take in orders.
