Search has been disabled for a moment - first want to ensure that everyone can log-in and remain logged in.

For now... it has caught me out as well. It may have something to do with sessions / cookies.

I can log in OK and the site does run faster on my desktop PC but I keep getting logged out unless I continuously remain active ie flick from here to there. Not enough time to read a 10 line paragraph and I'm logged out..........

I'm getting continuous failed login attempts, myriad "banned based on IP address" reports which I can only assume are glitches. :(

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Access issues should be fixed now.

I have posted an explanation here. I apologise for any rude shock for member who got a banned message.

Same, last night I received "you have been banned from this board until..." message a few times using laptop and iphone. Really thought I had done something wrong in the first instance.

Returning search and the other options is taking time - the search index rebuild is still going, about 18 hours so far and the process continues.

To provide an example - there are over 200,000 entries in the wordmatch index which is a collation of search terms.

So features will be returned following this.

I have a strange thing with the Notifications section. I keep getting the same one and the do not cancel out after reading them. I went to "my account" and there is a notification area there to mark them all as read, but they keep appearing even though I mark them as read.
So I get to read the same posts over and over.

I used to open in "New Posts" and that is gone as well.So it is like doing a list search at start up each time.

Small update, the search index is now up to 1.4 million entries for the wordmatch... and continuing.

So the search function and Forum Tools is still onhold as the indexing continues.
