Hi all,
I'm after a few Specialized BG accessories, and couldn't find any OS places that still ship Specialized stuff OS. I used to get their stuff thru Evans or Sigmasport, but both now don't send it OS.... Anyone know of any sites that still do?
Cheers
Harry

Um well, no... There's plenty of ways to get it via the US for much less than what it's overpriced RRPs are locally....Duck! wrote:You want Spesh stuff, that's where you'll have to get it.Dr_Mutley wrote:*Yawn*Pottsy wrote:ask you local specialized dealer
I was actually asking if anyone knew of any OS sites still sending to Australia.... Unless u have one, just move along... If the UK sites have dried up, ill just grab them from the US, and foot their dearer postage...

to date I have not found one
For bigger items I use a 'drop shipper'
for smaller items I send to relatives - one lives in Milan for UK stock the other lives in Chicago for America stuff
and yess i believe local prices are a rip - I am talking double the price
whereas online then shipping forwarded by my relatives generally costs 25%-40% ontop of the 'US' price.
I usually check spesh US website as a form of price check and time and time again LBS spesh stockers show a shelf price of at least double.

You're effing kidding, right? Take it first hand, people in the local bike trade aren't there for the money. 'cos it sure as hell isn't great. If someone somewhere is making a decent buck, it sure as hell isn't the guys on the shopfront, so please cut us a bit of slack.Dr_Mutley wrote: Um well, no... FWIW most the Speccy current season products, ie shoes, saddles and helmets are more or less the same price in the USA as they are here and in the UK.

The stuff I'm looking at isn't even in the same ballpark pricewise hence the topic... I'm happy to wear 10 - 25% but I don't want to be reamed more than that. Hence why I don't use much specialised stuff. Unfortunately there is a couple of their products that fit/suit me very well.
Blk077:
My observations are similar for the items I'm looking at. Ill probably just end up double shipping them if I have to which will end up still considerably cheaper. Plus I save driving 15mins either way to the specialised shop where the service isn't great anyway...
