Any riders of this machine, about to splash the cash, reviews of all grades welcome, although I can only afford the comp or team.

Thanks

saw it at the shop yesterday, put my hands on it, lifted it up, seems solid. couldn't ride it though, the shop were out of demo pedals. I imagine it being a good bike, i rode the foil 40 next to it, the equivalent but a different frame
hope that helps a tad, sorry i don't have much experience with the bike, although
you can't go wrong with it

I have finally come to a point where I can make the plunge to get carbon, and am looking at this one today when I head out to Sydney - was a recommendation over the Giant TCR. I'm not sure though - I was really after a more endurance style frame and although this is a fairly comfy from (from what I have read), I really need to ride it and a bunch others to see what I am up for...

I'm on my second Scott CR1 (pro).
The first (team) was my first carbon roadie and I went from riding 50km rides to doing my longest ride to date 194kms on it plus many 150km+ rides. Always gor off the bike feeling relatively fresh and good to g o again the next day. Unfortunately I crashed when a chain link came apart and the frame cracked at the rear derailler hanger.
I don't know why the hanger didn't break first or if the cracked frame was a direct result of the chain jamming or the subsequent fall.
I was insured and had some spare cash so I looked for a new bike for several weeks before realising that the CR1 was still the ideal choice for me so I upgraded to a 2011 Pro model as they were on special as the 2012s were available.
I've ridden it now since Oct 2011 and taken up racing with it as well. It still hasn't let me down. If I can persuade the missus that I need another bike to keep as a race bike I'd probably go for a Foil but the CR1 is a great all round bike that stays comfy all day long.
My only gripe is mine is a matt black finish and it's a bitch to keep clean.

Yep, love my 2011 CR1 also.

Ive got the XXL (61cm) so starting to think I'd enjoy something more responsive and faster in general... but that will have to wait :)

Went to a Scott demo day, took a Di2 equipped CR1 out and gave it back after 10 minutes. Did not like DI2, the geometry or anything about the "relaxed" ride of the CR1. Took out a Foil Team edition and did not want to give it back, but then my current road/race bike has fairly aggressive race geometry.

My advice take a CR1 for a decent test ride, because the ride is not for everyone.

Yes it is rather relaxed, but for me thats a good thing as anything less relaxed and my back wouldn't have coped when I started cycling about 20 months ago.
