SRAM recall ALL hydraulic disc brakes STOP USING

Second set of pads worn out at 3090 km. Well actually the front pads could have gone a bit longer but replacing with SwissStop metallic pads this time and hoping for a longer life.

SRAM chew disc pads. I get twice the life out of my shimano jobbies. (wife has sram)

First ride with the SwissStop metallic pads (apart from short bedding in brake pads ride last week) and they are excellent. Zero noise when off the brakes and a soft consistent sound when braking. Performance at least as good as the SRAM pads in terms of modulation and stopping. My rotors are marked "resin only" but a set of new Shimano SLX Icetech rotors should arrive next week.

Update.
Noticed the resin only rotors were being worn away with the metal pads fitted so installed the new Shimano SLX RT68 160mm Ice-Tech Centre Lock rotors. Pulled the pads out to reset pistons and the pads are showing very little wear for 1600km. Re-centered the calipers, front brake was silent, rear brake had slight noise due to a high spot on the pad. This has worn away after first ride and now both brakes are silent. The braking performance remains excellent.

After 4000km checked the pads today and they showed no discernable wear. Ecpect to get at least another 4000km.

5300 km and still no appreciable pad wear.
But last week went to ride home from work and the front brake pulled up to handlebar with next to no braking. Decided not to ride home via Bobbin Head! Had not really noticed it being a problem on the ride in. No leaks or any other obvious problems.
Took it to bikeshop (The Odd Spoke) for a brake bleed and now working beautifully.
