Shimano I-spec XT

Shimano I-spec XT

I'm thinking of grabbing a set of shifter covers to convert my XT shifters to I-spec, mainly just because I can...

I assume that the relative angle of the brake and shift levers can't be adjusted using the I-spec mount; at present my brake and shifter clamp bolts are parallel so hopefully not an issue but I'm wondering whether they allow enough lateral movement to run a one-finger braking setup? At present I'm running the brake levers about 1cm inboard of shifters (i.e. one cm of bar showing between the two clamps), anyone using I-spec and care to comment?
There are four phases of bicycle commuting; first there's fear, then rage, then self-righteousness and finally, fun.
