Hi guys!
I was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. I have a road bike with the old 105 generation (9 speed). I noticed that the jockey wheel of my RD is already loose and botched. Luckily, I was able to grab a bargain for a Shimano 5600 RD in the net. However, what I failed to consider was that the 5600 rd was for a 10 speed setup. Do any of you guys know if I can put and use the 5600 rd in my 9 speed setup? Thank you!

Hi mate. It will work fine. The RD won't know the difference.

if it freaks out, try get it to do some deep breathing exercises. I have heard that whale sounds can be relaxing as well.

With the exception of 8-sp. Dura-Ace (don't know why it was unique ), all Shimano road 7, 8, 9 & 10-sp. rear derailleurs & shifters are cross-compatible. All that needs to match is the number of gears in the cassette and the shifter.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
