New Shimano 105 5800

I have always found Tektro brakes to be overly flexible and underpowered. Also the quality of the fittings are usually rubbish with the chrome in particular rusting only after a few wet rides.

I hear shimano 2300 brakes aren't that good either... so all shimano brakes must be crap

personally I would stay clear of tektro,I have never had a great brake failure from it and it works ok just the little niggly things that annoy me

Looks like a good new groupset.
Anyone know if or what will be compatible with the 5700 set? Would love the new rear derailleur so I could use a 32 on the back and get rid of the compact on the front

I recently tried a wheel with a 34t cassette with my 2011 105 RD. I was just wanting to see if the 40c tyres would clear my frame ok but .... the 34t worked fine.

Cool. I'd heard a 28 was as high as I could go, might give a 32 a crack and see how it goes.

You can never have too big a rear sprocket IMHO.
