Campag SR11 EPS on 2013 Infinito

Postby Krank » Sat Dec 01, 2012 10:26 am

Is this possible?

Your thoughts on EPS vs mechancial for campag SR11?

I think the weight difference is about 300g.

If money was no obstacle, what choice would you make and why?

Well, I'm going to say I'd go for the EPS. For two reasons: 1. EPS has received excellent reviews - read 'em, and 2. To get a rise out of the retro grouches camped on this forum.

PS - wife has SR on her C50. Whatever your choice you will be getting a superb gruppo.

I have 2013 sr11 mech on my bike. It's super precise. But with all things campy the front d requires a fair amount of trimming as the tolerances are so tight on the 11 speed. Not tried EPS, but have been informed it's even better, which from my perspective is hard to believe. But I would imagine the auto trimming front d would be great.

Thanks boys.

Been reading numerous reviews on the EPS, and I am really liking the fact that it is almost impossible to throw a chain in super critical moments during climbs, etc.

I know this could also be achieved with the mechanical, but probably needs alot more fine tweaking. (I know others will disagree here, but that's life).

A friend of mine who ois a Campy nut said the battery for the EPS needs to be charged on the bike, is that right?

yes, that is correct.

every 8000 shifts i am told, and it does have LED warnings to let you know before hand to charge the battery.
