I am putting my toes it the water just getting into Campy stuff. I have a bike with late 80's chorus hub it has a 6speed Regina cluster on it, can I put 7 speed on it and what options do I have.
Pulled the current one off regreazed everything, (10 million ball bearings) but it doesn't look like a shimano freehub that I am used to. Did I not pull it completely down?

It should be a standard thread on the hub so yes, you can upgrade it to 7spd.
The move from 6 to 7 to 8 speed was accomplished by basically putting an extra cog on the end so the only other thing you'd need would be a longer axle (with spacers and posssibly QR lever).
Once we moved to 9 speed the cogs, spacing and chains all became narrower.
