Hi all,
unfortunately had my colnago clx 3.0 stolen and am looking to replace it.
I can't afford another one, but was thinking about a Colnago ACE. I thought the clx was awesome so that's why I'm thinking colnago again.
does anyone have an ACE they can comment on, or a similarly priced alternative?
thanks
Replacing my Colnago CLX 3.0

The Colnago CLX 3 with 105 is the same price as the Ace with Ultegra 6700 at Chain Rection Cycles

I'd wait / save and purchase a CLX frame if you really rate it as a ride. I happen to think the CLX is the best looking monocoque frame Colnago have in their line up and my boss now begrudingly regrets he didn't buy the one he test rode (CLX 2) as he commented on it's smoothness and fit.
I'd wait for a CLX..... unless you get a properly long test ride of the Ace model in your size and you adore it the same as the CLX then why not.....?
Otherwise you know what size you are in a CLX so you can source one from O.S if required/desired. eBay was awash with hardly ridden CLX models last Autumn when I was looking for 2 months or so, many sizes and colours to choose from.
My 20 cents says save for a CLX..... and a bike lock or three..........

3rd class cycling is always better than 1st class walking
