They brake pretty good and pull up quick. Take a little bit to set up and to bed in, but a lot quieter than the BB7's and a bit more pricier, i got mine through Bikeman as they were a little cheaper than what they were through TRP. Yet to try them off road but on the road they seem to pull up pretty well.

cheers

I manage to put it all together today.
Total Weight is 9.25 kg, not too bad for an all rounder bike.

Mate kudos to you

That thing looks awesome and absolutely bulletproof!

You do realise that building something like this means you never ever have to build another one..... (not saying you can't build another one ;-) )

Thanks, yeah... like what I have before when I built my other bikes and ended up selling them in the end to build a new one. This is something special to me, so hopefully, bike will at least stay with me for the next 10 years or so. The other plus thing is the customised geometry, that really works well in my commute.

Few notes on the Tektro Lyra brakes:
-Would have been a pain in the ass to set it up if not for the BB7's Ti Bolts and spacer kits. Using this kit allows me to nearly perfectly align the calipers to the rotor.
-One of my rotor is crippled. There is just too much left to right play and alignment is a horror. I knew I will have problem and I did bought a pair of black Lyra's from salcedo98 from this thread. I initially bought this to make sure I have both black and silver and at the same time to have spare pads :D
-300 km now and no noise so far
-they look great, at least in my colour scheme
-stopping power is enough for my 9.5kg bike + Rack + Panniers + 65kg (me!) + stuff inside the pannier. Tested on this weight yesterday in an 80 km ride.

Will post again if I noticed something that is worth mentioning here.

It is at $3.23/km at the moment. Hoping to get more km from it in the next couple of months. Go go go!

Anyone have tried the Ultegra Di2 on 46-36T chainrings?
I am planning to give her some face lift after serving me for 2,600 km now.
