CX worlds start tomorrow in Hoogerheide with the first official Oz team that includes two women. :)

There's live feeds at UCI Channel of each of the four races - junior and U23 men and elite women and men:

* Junior Men Saturday 8.50-10pm
* Elite Women Saturday night (Sunday morning) 12.50am-2am
* U23 Men Sunday 8.50pm-10.50pm
* Elite Men Sunday night (Monday morning) 12.50-2.30am

Background on local cx here.

Compton's had some asthma but was so strong in the World Cups; will be interesting. And Sven is always Sven! Should be great racing.

Looking forward to see Nico in there with the big boys... don't know if I fancy his chances of finishing on the same lap, suppose we will see.

Awesome race. How good is Vos. Just amazing. Great to see Mel and Lisa at worlds, and fantastic touch to have Tracey Gaudry doing the presentations.

Vos was in a class above, surprised she only put a minute into the Italian the way she was riding... personally found the race itself pretty boring. Compton had a shocker start... she did well to get back to the chase bunch so quickly, but then she started suffering big time.
Looking forward to tomorrow though.

Agreed toolonglegs! :D

Spent the last couple of days avoiding this and other topics about the Men’s Elite race so I could watch it without knowing the results.

What an amazing display by the front two (no mention of names – don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet)! How strong was the winner? Impressive display of fitness to hit hard time and time again!

Surprised at the number of mistakes made through the field compared to world cup events - guessing the added pressure of being the World Championships means they are right on and over the edge...

To watch - select the following link and click in 10 or so minutes to start.

Loved the elite men's race. Close to the very end.

Liked the mix of nationalities too, unlike the 2012 Belgian team time trial :)

I think the video sort of spoils it for anyone who hasn't watched :lol:
Great race though!... Stybar was awesome, the power he was putting out was insane. First time seem Nys under pressure and making mistakes like that!.
Good to see Nick give it a good crack. Don't think he was totally happy with his performance... But starting at the back of a big field is tough ... Hitting the barriers hard too!. He is in the start list for today for a rematch ;-) ... Everyone except Stybar is lining up :-)

My link was the original live stream link and not the edited one - so actually didn't give the winner away... :wink:
