Post pictures of your Surly

Postby Aushiker » Tue Sep 25, 2012 7:18 pm

I thought that it would be nice to have an album thread here of forum members Surly bikes, whatever models you have. If you think it is a good idea, post a photo or three of your bike(s).
To get things rolling this is my Surly Long Haul Trucker from my recent foray in the Northern Territory, Litchfield National Park.

My disc Trucker - not had it long, but definitely a keeper....

I used to own a Cross Check which I sold, and regretted about five minutes later - great bike

It came, got built up, did not get used much and went to a more deserving owner.

Ordinary hallway shot of the new Ogre. Have to take it somewhere exotic for better pics!

Thread dig:

This weekend just been some friends and I rode the gravel route up Mt Donna Buang. As it happened three out of four of us were riding black CrossChecks:

Don't you hate it when you realize that you're fitting a stereotype just a little too neatly?! Gotta laugh.

... In any case, like many people I'm a fan of the Surly's no nonsense approach to bikes and love my crosscheck to bits.

Here's a photo of it from last weekends ride:

And in fully fendered commuter mode:

And here's my wife's newly built up CrossCheck:

Photos of my LHT are below. I've since added a Tubus 'Duo' front rack. More information about the build, etc, is in this post: http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewt ... 00#p696004" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's a hebie bipod, got it from bike24 a few years back n it was collecting dust. There are new models out now. Also I do highly recommend the Hebie stand plate 699 40. It stops the stand twisting.
