Happy new Ride 91 Owner...
Postby brett.hooker » Wed Oct 03, 2012 1:05 am
Budget vs features has finally played out, and I purchased a new Ride 91 today.
I love my 19 year old Shogun, but after dusting it off and putting 3850 km's on it over the last 12 months, it was time to step up a little...
After an hour in the saddle tonight, I am just loving the new Ride 91... Plan is to put 4000k on it over the next year and save my pennies for one of those Ultegra Ride 95's...

I am absolutely stoked with this bike!!!
Smooth, light, stable and quiet.
Gave me flawless service over the entire 100km.
Highly recommend it as a entry level road bike...
So happy I chose this one...

I am loving this Ride 91 !!! A great choice for me...
I did sneak in a little upgrade during the week though... I put a 12-27 casette on it... I am still carrying a lot of "personal" weight up the hills, and after having a crack at Mt Cootha Back, Mt Nebo and other usual suspects around the place, decided to retire the "shipped" 11-25 and put in the 12-27. The result? AWESOME... It's probably 99% in my mind, but I now feel so much happier on the hills. Mathematically, the 27 is only 8% easier to pedal uphill than the 25, but is sure does feel easier.
So, now the bike I absolutely love just got better!!!
Here's hoping for fine weather in the morning, and I will go give it a crack on this BMW Charity ride...

Still a joy to ride. I continue to get fitter and faster and this bike is making it a pleasure... What a great package for the price...
