I use this and maybe not big on looks I can't fault it for function.

Not good for under down tube mounting though.

Blackburn simply need to re-release their marvellous Bomber cage - a much more robust design for touring uses. I don't understand why they don't do it.

I was recently sitting out on a verandah with a bicycle tourist, and she had her Sea to Summit X Cup sitting over her headtorch. We thought it was a fantastic idea, and even thought of ways to make a custom fit cover. Looks like someone beat us though! But, I think it is easier to use a pre-existing object if you already have something to fit the bill.

A thin plastic cup has worked for me.

The one's that come in great stacks of 50 or so, free anywhere there is a water dispenser, eg. Dr.s waiting rooms, but occasionally they provide the clear ones - no good.

Cheap shoes for those that may want to try clipless pedals and not sure if they like them. Mouuntain bike style and a pretty comprehensive size chart. Free delivery, but like all things shoes, it is recommended to go one size larger to allow for walking any distance.

Re Torch glo- I thought it was critical for LED's to be able to shed heat and that is why they usually have an aluminium surround or cooling fins. My B+M front dynamo light has a metal hood like thing which I presume is for this purpose. And my Led lenser head lamp is mostly ally too.

Re Torch glo- I thought it was critical for LED's to be able to shed heat and that is why they usually have an aluminium surround or cooling fins. My B+M front dynamo light has a metal hood like thing which I presume is for this purpose. And my Led lenser head lamp is mostly ally too.

Yeah. Mine came with dire warnings not to use it stationary for more than a few minutes or it would overheat. Maybe some low powered "be seen" rather than "see" lights would be OK.

In case you didn't notice, this is the touring forum, and we are talking about the low-powered kind of lights you might use in camp on tour.

The Led lenser is a head lamp that does get used for touring and camping Ron.

It's a brilliant headlamp. It can get very hot if covered though. I accidentally left it face down on a sleeping bag for perhaps a minute. I was surprised it didn't burn a hole in my bag. I suspect the torch glo would capture the heat too.
