I have them on my Surly Long Haul Trucker but these will do for the other two bikes to protect my dynamo hubs.Andy wrote:I like the excellent but pricey Pitlock skewers but these look good as well.

Hi Andrew - any recent thoughts on this product? Looking for a cache battery for a dynamo charger. Cheers.Aushiker wrote:I now have one ex Japan. Very solid feel to it, charging my phone as I type. Seems to be quick with the charging. I got it from ebay seller, tokyofreaks23 for US$62.00.Aushiker wrote:The Anker Astro E5 15000 mAh looks like a reasonable compromise for me ... 10,500 to 12,000 mAh in reality which isn't to bad, two USB outputs at 1 amp and 2 amp and USB charging at 1.5 amp if going just for a battery.

Thanks Pete I just ordered one to power my lights it seems to suit my needs.il padrone wrote:A similar battery with a really robust case, is the NewTrent PowerPak Ultra 14000 mAh battery. Two ouputs 1A & 2.1A, and 2A input. It has a waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof case.

It will do that apparently. The only reservation that I have about it is the micro-USB charging port. On a previous cheapie battery this broke off on me when charging it from the bike with the battery in the handlebar bag - I'm guessing that movement stressed it and busted it. The one advantage of the Powermonkey Extreme is its full-size USP charging port - never looks like coming out or breaking.chillimagnum wrote:If it supports simultaneous charge in while using charge out it could be perfect.

Sounds great except weighs nearly 500g!il padrone wrote:A similar battery with a really robust case, is the NewTrent PowerPak Ultra 14000 mAh battery. Two ouputs 1A & 2.1A, and 2A input. It has a waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof case.

368g by my conversion. Seems comparable with the Powermonkey Extreme battery that weighs 242g, seeing as it is 50% greater capacity.dalai47 wrote:Sounds great except weighs nearly 500g!

Yes, I found that too... and every other site I could find was US with their similar US-only trade.Tim wrote:Where from?
Amazon won't deliver to Aus for me and I'm not sure I can trust Aliexpress.
