At that price I might hold off until it is not such a Ltd Edition ....

You can also read the reviews by the 100 or so people who were given pre-release models to test over several months.
General consensus seems to be it is more comfortable than a relatively new brooks leather saddle but not as comfortable as a well worn one

Not sure of the point of this but Bike Rumor has a heads-up on a possible Garmin Edge Touring GPS.

It's been reported that in the Euro market there is stronger demand for navigation features than for fitness training information, hence the success of the Mio (Magellan) Cyclo 305. Garmin must be feeling the pressure from the competition.

If the Mio can be loaded with more maps I'd be interested in buying one, but there is no chance that I'll ever buy another Garmin.

Saw this over at GearJunkie and I thought it might be of interest ...



It is called the Halo and it works with gas canisters. It comes with two USB ports and allows charging whilst cooking. Not sure how much charge you will get out of it whilst cooking and hence if you end up burning gas for the sake of charging.

Nice idea, don't think feasible tho. You need to be turning the pedals all the time to generate power. Going downhill on tour just how many times does one pedal unless there is a headwind of some form..

I only just around to reading it Stuart and there isn't a whole lot of info on the device spec wise. A guy on BROL seems to have purchased one and thinks it's ok but his comments were very short with no real write up on the device so still in the dark. I would like to see on the web site times for recharging from being flat to fully charged but I don't see any of the in depth stuff like that. No mention of what it is made of nor no mention of life span just way to lacking on info.

Another contesnder for a light and easily carried seat - I have two, years old, and they still get a lot of use. Not too sure how they go with an excessively large person but I have never restricted their use and they have held up fine so far.
