It seems very thin Solar Panel has been developed which will likely see a lot of new developments in the field of solar power.
The implications of this thin and light panelling suggest some of this continuing developing will see positive outcomes for cycle touring.
Also 'cheap'.
But may not be very efficient at converting solar energy to electrical energy. Some years to product launch.
From Newcastle uni.
A suggested 3 years to launch isn't very long to someone like me whose been around since prior to mobile phones, which had you suggested them whence I was young, you'd have been told you were watching too much Star-trek and were running the risk of being taken away in pyjamas whose long sleeves tied up at the back.
After all it seems to take Garmin years after a product launch to get its firmware straightened out and the bugs mostly ironed out from my Edge 1000.
I'm going to be a glass half full kind of guy on this news.
I'm simply pleased that power capture is heading in a direction of cheap and light, rather than listen to Scot Morrison pointing me in the direction of a lump of coal to take with me bike touring.
