Revelate sweetroll setup

Postby uad782 » Fri Apr 14, 2017 11:09 am

Hi everyone,

I am setting up my Revelate Sweetroll. I am not sure what to do about the cables. I think Option 2 is better but would appreciate any comments. Option 2 does scrunch the cables quite tightly. Option 1 would stop me using the extra pouch on the front.

Thanks

I have the cables behind the. My drop bar bike has tidier routing of course but I went to some pains when building the bike to make sure the routing would accommodate the bag.

Maybe you could turn the levers up a little to take some stress off the cables.

Or use a drop bar bike.

The Beyond + is all sold out in Australia, and no stock before next model, due around August. From what they have told me, there will be a higher specced model, which I read as closer the the Fargo comonent wise.

I had shifted to the Beyond Plus wiht a Jones H bar before finding out there was no stock available.

I am talking with Jones Bikes adout one the a Jones Plus spaceframe frame set (with Jones H bar). The new model just come out has standard sized through axles. I am waiting ont he new grey colour, available in May to see if I prefer that over the black.

Might a Jones H-loop bar push the Revelate Sweetroll forward enough to not scrunch up his cables?

Perhaps a tidier solution to simply lengthening his cables, though much dearer.

Hi Avolve,

Sounds good. The frameset seems expensive at $1,500 US compared to a Fargo and the bombtrack.

The front forks are intriguing.

It is an expensive frameset. The overall design philosophy (frame, fork and bars as one) is the why. Moving away from drop bars (I have tried on my current touring bike for a few years, and cant get them just right) — and I want something more than flat bars.

Going for a spaceframe over traditional diamond seemed the next logical decision. All comes down to if I have enough cash set aside and can get one hear without too much added expense.
