Got that now that it has found the satellites. I was initially going off the app which seems to be locked into Google. For quick and dirty mapping that is probably okay but for more serious route planning I will use RWGPS or similar I think.

There has been some great discounts around of late, I imagine due to xmas coming up.

I grabbed an Edge 1030 whose viewable screen size is a little bigger again than the 1000 unit.

I'm not taking a pair of reading glasses with me on tour in order to easier see my computer so I was able to more easily justify the expense to my tightwad self.

Andrew I hope your getting on well with your new unit.

Tonight I've been refamiliarising myself with adding my contact details on the startup screen which DC Rainmaker first put up for the 800 units if my memory serves.
