Who are the specialist kids bike makers out there? That is, brands that identify themselves as making different products to the "big brands", and/or those that make bikes that claim to be better than the average. I'll set up another thread to discuss whether their virtues are real or imagined.
Specialist kids bike brands
ByK - Australian, range from toddler balance bikes to teens, urban and MTB styles
Islabikes - UK based, not much info in Aus, and don't ship here. balance bikes to adult, MTB urban and road/race
Fourty Bikes - 1 size model for 6-10 y.o. with single and 3-speed variants, and a track drop bar option.
manufacturers who do a "lightweight" range in addition to their generic fare:
Radius Bikes - Neo range claims lighter weight
XDS - Lite range, alloy framed
Feel free to add more and I will update this post if possible.
