[HBT] SPD-SL 'Clipless' pedals

Postby Bob_TAS » Mon May 27, 2013 3:07 pm

Seeking a reasonably priced set of second hand road pedals.

Aesthetic condition doesn't have to be spectacular, but obviously fully functional.

Ideally with cleats, though if the price is right I'll take 'em without.

Edit: Just for the record, the only reason I need another set is because of a Cell Messenger pub thrasher on its way here. Cheers for the offers but I reckon it'll just be a set of R540s.

A new set of Shimano PD-R540 with cleats cost less than $30 from Wiggle ATM (I expect prices at other mail order places similar)

And seeing cleats are around $20, don't know if you would get a better deal.

Cheers for the heads up, might give Wiggle a razz. The pedals would beat the bike to my door, even though I ordered it last week

Now that's all sorted, anyone in Southern Tassie got some brake levers (road, preferably in black) that they want to offload for cheap?

Great question!

Preferably non-aero but am flexible with what's available

Also - Bar diameter is ~24mm

So popped into a bike shop in the 'city' today and picked up some cheap Skins knicks and the usual Toro gel restock.

Also managed to harangue them out of their demo set of Tektro levers with some new cables for a fair price.

Many thanks go out to LG for his offer of levers from the shed and apologies for the inconvenience but wont be needing them just yet :|
