Haha guess it was just my lucky day because I nabbed it for about $30 before postage from the US of A, nearly $50 by the time postage and PayPal conversions were done. It was either this or a new campy headset from CRC :)

That's a pretty good score.

Are the bearings still good? My one on the Cadex is brinelled, and the auto straightening steering is a little annoying. Wonder where replacements can be found. There are a few of the Japanese sites that have them for about $30.

I wouldn't actually know Quang... Might have to get you to help check it for me! Would the headset just be clicking into any "brinelled" points? Frame is still awaiting a new lick of paint, so I guess there's time to sort out any issues

My bearings are clicking into the Brinelled points, creating an auto centering feel. Issue is that the bearing they use for this headset is proprietary(standard balls, but in some plastic case), and hard to find.

I see, I'll check my set and see if it has a similar issue and report back.

I bought a 6500 crown race from Jenson USA about 2 years ago, not sure if they still have them, but worth a try.

@Quang, my bearings seem fine from just trying to turn them whilst applying shear force to them. Guess I'll just have to put it on the bike and see lol
