[SYD] Any old cycling shoes in size 10 or 11

Postby Mischaseb » Thu Oct 17, 2013 9:29 pm

Looking for a pair of cycling shoes to pull the hard sole out of. Going to turn a regular pair of shoes into a set of casual SPD shoes :)

How are you going to do that? You gonne cut a middle section (as big as SPD) out from the sole of a pair of casual shoes, rip out the in-sole and then fit the entire in/out-sole of a pair of roadies in there?

Not a bad idea, actually.

I can save you time & trouble: I've got a pair of these Vittoria 1976's in a size 45.

I have a set of floating cleat plates from an old set of cannondale MTB shoes. Each plate has 4 threaded holes (2 options for cleat placement). If these can be of use, send me your address and I'll chuck them in the post.
Or let me know if you want pics first.
(Shoes were about 10years old, when the cleats still attached to these tore clean out of the shoes during a crash)

I have a set of dhb mtb shoes that I'm going to toss because the heel is too loose, size 45 euro. Very stiff sole, though. I'll be keeping the cleats - if I can get them off!

Trailgumby - I'll take the dhb's - if the OP doesn't want them.

Cheers,

Joe

Trailgumby was nice enough to donate a pair to the cause, thanks John!

Also, thanks for the offer ozdavo!
