[Syd] Giant XTC Advanced 29er 1 2013 Medium

On Gumtree: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kingsgro ... 1036246726

Giant XTC Advanced 29er 1. Size Medium. Excellent condition, all original, 55 year old owner. Did one MTB race in which a guy on a unicycle beat me by 20 minutes so I'm going to stick to road riding from now on. Aside from that one race the bike has done about 500 gentle bike track kms, never crashed, kept clean and well maintained (serviced at Happy Wheels Randwick). Road tyres currently fitted, but original Schwalbe Racing Ralph off-road tyres will be included. Beautiful bike to look at and ride. Only a few minor scratches and a bit of cable rub (see photo). $4000 retail, reduced for quick sale to $2250. Full specs here: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-au/bik ... /#overview

Cheers, Rod

I resent the implication that unicyclists are a benchmark for inferior performance.

No, giving up on it because the ego took a beating is the benchmark

Ha ha. Actually, my time and rank in that race neither surprised or upset me. At my age, with three kids, ego is long gone. And as for the unicycle as a barometer of performance, I was amazed, not miffed. Apologies to the proud one-wheelers out there if it came across otherwise. Just thought I'd offer it as a reason for selling, rather than the common "shed full ... treasurer says one must go" line.
