Gazelle Bikes Australia forced to close

Gazelle Bikes Australia was set up in 2008 and did a great job of establishing the brand and turning it into the leading e-bike brand in Australia.

Unfortunately a management decision by the owner of the Gazelle brand (Pon Holdings) has meant that the distribution rights for Gazelle Bikes Australia have been withdrawn and the brand moves over to Derby Cycles Australia. Pon Holdings owns Derby Cycles so this means that the Australian based business is a subset of them.

Sad news considering that Paul, AJ and the team built it into a very successful brand in Australia and were running really good business - always good to customers, dealers, media and the industry. They also put a lot of energy into cycling promotion and e-bike promotion so play a good role in the positive growth of e-bikes in Australia.
