Edge520 - Data Not recording

Just completed a ride to find that total KM's were correct however all other data stopped at about 23km (mapping, heart rate data, cadence data, etc.)

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Note: The Garmin did run out of battery about 77km into the ride.... and also was paused and turned off while waiting for the group ride to start. This was at about the same time most data stopped recording. Turned back on and was 'recording' as usual.
