I live in gympie (near brisbane) and Local shops that i know of stock Diamondback, Redline, Giant, GT, Mongoose(told they are made from cheap parts), and Malvern Star. There is also a place about an hour away down at kawana, They stock Avanti(decent price), Relieigh, Specialized and Scott.
I preffer to steer clear of giants cause a: I want a unique bike from all the guys round my town, and b: In my eyes, Diamondback, GT, Malvern Star and Avanti look better. One other brand i like is Norco but i dont know of any shops who stock em.
I basically ride on roads path etc but i want the option to go offroad a lil, and its not like i will be bashing the thing to buggery. And last question is it worth me getting disc breaks with it or just getting v-breaks and better forks etc(after all i could probably buy a kiy of ebay and put it on later down the track). Any other brands,models, recommendations or tips would be greatly apreciated.
