Questions about purchasing bicycles and parts
by tuco » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:23 am
Just been talking to the lbs and their R540 SPD-SL are $99 a pair. I need two pairs so it looks like cellbikes at $69 each and $7 postage is the go.
The lbs will also give a discount for two pairs of shoes.
Just for everyone's info, the lbs guy said R540 SPD-SL are now called tiagra.

You probably can!
There's plenty of stories on the net how people's Sidi have lasted year after year after year. And out on the road, you can see those old Sidis still riding strong.
Or maybe people who bought Sidis just can't afford to throw them out.

Strangely enough, I've never looked at another riders feet
Bikes, luggage and the glutes of the ladies maybe.
I gotta get out more...

I managed to buy some new shoes today - YAY Even though they have a blue trim and therefore don't match my bike (damn, that's the girl gene kicking in ), they fit like slippers!!
I've gone for DMT Ultimax Spirit RSX...came in at $259 which was much cheaper than some others I couldn't help but try on

Your just going to have to go out and buy a new bike. What if that man who wanted to buy you a coffee saw you with shoes that don't match ?

Unless he's colour blind.
Well I ordered the SPD-SL ($69 per pair) and they're on their way. Just have to wait for the lbs to get some shoes on stock now.

Buy a new bike? NEVER!! Well...maybe...but not for a bit anyway!! (where's my husband...can he read this )
What if that guy saw me rolling around on the couch laughing so much I nearly wet my pants? If the non-matching shoes didn't scare him away, a soon to be incontinent 30 something sure did.
You make me laugh Mike...now I hurt.
