G'day Forum
I am the frustrated owner of a set of BBB Trek Bars and long grips.

They will not fit my bike and the store owner and I don't see eye to eye (I can't stoop that low because of a stiff neck).

I have nothing that I can think of to do with there bars (that is legal and anatomically possible for the LBS owner)

If anybody can use the damned things I would be pleased to mail them to you free of charge just so that I can wind up with some positive feeling out of this whole sorry saga.

Wrong sized stem or something? If you have a conventional MTB handlebar, they ought to fit with your regular parts. What stops them from fitting?

Anyway, I have a set, so can't take them.

Yeah, I would have had to pay more for a replacement stem than the damned bars cost.

I have an oversized stem and the trekbars require a standard stem.

The problem with them is the positioning of the bars on the bike.
I don't like the fact that the bars come back closer to my knees.
I am a tall bloke and I like a lot of space between my kneecaps and the handle bars.

I wasn't fully clear. I don't want any money for the bars it is a freebie. It's either here or a landfill and I prefer recycling

Well someone will want them I'm sure, they're handy if you're doing longer distances on a flat bar style bike.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your LBS, that must be frustrating.
I would love them, but am hesitant to speak up as I am only relatively new to the sport.
I'm sure someone out there is desperate for a new set of bars, so don't stress - you can chuck them to someone who'll get a lot more pleasure out of them than you did!
