I had an error with my PBK order, I received one item that wasn't ticked and didn't receive one item that was ticked. I emailed them and they sent thru the time pretty much straight away.DrEvil123 wrote:ProBikeKit have stuffed up my latest order, they didn't put in the sunglasses even though I paid for them. The packing slip doesn't have them ticked off either.
This will be a good test of after-sale service.
I will keep you updated

internet purchases
Postby bigbuzz73 » Tue Apr 17, 2007 3:54 pm
I just received a pair of Santini T-Gel bibknicks from U.K. bought through Ebay. Took 9 days to arrive and cost A$70.00 delivered to my door. They retail for $200.00 in Aust. Also bought a Santini jersey for $42 from a USA bike shop and the exact same jersey is about $120 in a couple of Melbourne bike shops I've seen. I've made similar savings on pedals, shoes, etc.
I can see Ebay eventually putting the parts and accessories side of Australian bike shops out of business due to their desire to make more than 100% gross profit. I've bought heaps of stuff through Ebay and never had a single problem with overseas sellers.

Agreed, as long as you choose wisely. Stay only with sellers with a good track record and never bid for any item that's too cheap to be true.bigbuzz73 wrote:I've bought heaps of stuff through Ebay and never had a single problem with overseas sellers.

2 days since I requested an update about my missing item and no reply yet. This is starting to get annoying!mikesbytes wrote:I had an error with my PBK order, I received one item that wasn't ticked and didn't receive one item that was ticked. Most online retailers make you ship products back at YOUR expense thus any item that has a high likelyhood of stuffing up (i.e. expensive computer) should be bought locally for support / warranty reasons.
Hypothetically, you buy a tyre for 30$ from an online shop. Its malformed and unusable. The cost (and time) of sending back will most likely outvalue the cost of ordering another 1.

THere website says, "We generally aim to have your order to you in 2-4 working days. There will be times when this will not be achieved due to stock or shipping issues."
However they don't keep in touch with you to email you say after 4 working days to tell you were your order is at.
I ordered a seat post and a hydration pack and it is taking them 8 days to order in the hydration pack to it looks like i'm going to recieve my order after about 11 days.
Damn, I need that damn seat post!!!

$40 per tire and $18 to post 7 day delivery time , got the silver stripe same shade as the handlebar tape, wasnt my first choice cause i really wanted the black/black gp 4000s cause of the bling lettering on the sidewalls but they never have them in stock,, still the stripe looks pretty cool . might take a piccy of her and post it later /my precious.MichaelB wrote:What was the damage all up incl postage ?Imanewbie wrote:parcel from pbk arrived about 5 mins ago /homer drool

Sent the update email off on Thursday night and still no reply from them. This order has been strange, they didn't even send me the usual "your order has been shipped" email. My order a month ago went flawlessly, this one has a lot left to be desired.
If only their prices weren't so good
