What pedals would you get??
Postby GoSchlecko » Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:17 pm
Looking to decide which pedals to pop on the BMC SC01 promachine bike when I get it next week. It is an Ultegra component bike at this stage.
Pedals: Looking around on eBay, can get Ultegra 2009s for $150, Ultegra 2010s for $190, or Dura Ace 2009s for about $260.
Or are there non Shimanos I should look at?
Thanks Guys!

If you want light pedals speedplays could be the way to go.

+1 and cos they look better. Unless you want to keep it in the family in which case there is nothing wrong with Ultegra's (which is what I run).colafreak wrote:Speedplays for user-friendliness

I have tried the Look Keo, Speedplay X-series, and I still prefer the Shimano system. Cleats wear well.
I'd choose the 105s over the Ultegra for value for money.

In that sort of price bracket they all do the job, it's a matter of preference for looks and ease of entry.

Decided to buy some new gun-metal Shimano Ultegras via an ebay store for 180 bucks. Ordered yesterday, got today. Very nice they look too!
