And here's me looking for a groupset for a CX frame I've picked up... perhaps we should talk!JBark wrote:Love the look of the new Brunswick, also noticed it's now listed at $1399.
If they sold the bare frame/fork, I'd be mighty tempted to pick one up. I'm already happy with all the components on my bike, but I'd love to have a nice looking alu frame/carbon fork with and inboard mounted rear disc brake and two mounting holes on the triangle for a fender and rack. It's basically the perfect commuter layout, and I can see they're smartly targeting that market with the pictures of if nicely kitted out with fenders and rack with panniers.

Man, don't tempt me! Not sure I'd enjoy explaining to my wife why exactly I needed a new frame. She doesn't understand the whole n+1 bike rule.m@ wrote:And here's me looking for a groupset for a CX frame I've picked up... perhaps we should talk!

It means the OTHER stuff in your order has to total over $130. then you get free bars. You can't order $129.99 of stuff and a box of bars, and expect to get the bars free.ldrcycles wrote:Might do to clarify the wording on the latest email. Yes, Sydney now has $9.90 flat rate shipping as well.
Orders over $99 will be shipped for free.
We feel $9.90 shipping Australia-wide is quite competitive and will help us provide across the board service.
Daniel, our customer care specialist has also emailed you and we hope you will remain a Cell Bikes customer in the future.
Thanks for your feedback squeakywheel.

Dodgy Indonesian operation. Just expensive enough to stop your auto-dodgy alarm going off. Don't send them your money.applio wrote:is cell also operating in oversea?

Someone has just grabbed our images and 'opened an online bike shop'.
They don't answer our 'cease and desist' orders as well.
Please everyone...don't send them your hard earned cash!

I noticed their "shipping and return policy" blurb was in much better quality English than the rest of the site. Copied and googled it and it looks like they have plagiarised a genuine Indonesian bike shop's website. They also don't take credit card payments from overseas.CELL Bikes wrote:No we aren't.applio wrote:is cell also operating in oversea?

On the copied content, are you absolutely sure that the other indonesian bike shop was genuine? Were they also taking western union and promoting unrealistic prices. There is a whole series of scam bike shops from Indonesia at the moment - and they are really destroying the nations reputation for any genuine businesses. I put together a list of active Indonesia based scam bike shops here
Cheers

No, I'm not sure they were genuine but they showed a physical address and accepted PayPal. Thanks for the links to the scammer sites. There is always a risk when buying online (from any but the most reputable places) that the whole thing is a con.AUbicycles wrote: On the copied content, are you absolutely sure that the other indonesian bike shop was genuine? The dubious bike shops in the scam list all had addresses listed (all in Indonesia), so a UK, US, Australian, New Zealand or Western European based retailer all have a better chance or being more trustworthy.

I was thinking to get an Omeo 1.0 at the Sydney shop. There is only one thing holding me back: do they do a proper bike fitting there before I leave the shop or I have to work it out myself? This would be a problem, given my inexperience with road bikes... cheers!

When I bought my Omeo back last December, although they didnt do what I would call a full bike fit (they didnt get it up on a trainer), they did adjust teh seat height/position on it for me, send me for a ride around the block, adjust the seat further another trip around the block.damascato wrote:Hey guys,

Bear in mind this was the Saturday before Christmas, so they were a bit hectic.
