good 4 walking shoes for spd slAre there some shoes that are spd sl style but are better for walking than those carbon soled that I have? or are these type of shoes only available for spd pedals?

If you want to avoid the duck walk, I believe it's MTB shoes and pedals. I am an MTBer with a roadie on the side, so I'm frequently wrong with roadie business OTOH Try searching for Crank Bros quattro around here, their users tend to wax lyrical. Shaun ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Correct, CB Quattro supplies a 3 hole fitting kit for their cleat to match regular road shoes or match their other pedal models with any MTB shoes.
But back to OP's question, no, there are no SPD-SL compatible shoes that's "easy" to walk in. If you want to be able to walk, then get a MTB shoe or even general cycling shoes and match it up with another pedal system (CB or SPD). Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
I think you may be able to get a heal added to make then a little easier to walk in.
I've got stuff on ebay
Depends on what your "normal" shoes is made of. With rubber sole, I think you'll be pretty safe as far as damaging the pedal is concerned. But I would say it's rather dangerous to ride a clipless pedal using regular shoes. You are likely to slip of and injure yourself. Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
I have ridden short distances with Shimano M520 double-sided MTB pedals wearing Dunlop Volley shoes. It's passable, but uncomfortable - the pedal is a wonky shape and doesn't provide the best grip.
If you want dual purpose pedals (cleats and normal shoes) I think the CB Mallet and Smarty, as well as the Shimano M324 and M475 are suitable. The M324 is one side platform one side clipless, the others I believe normal shoes push the mechanism down and you just pedal on the platform part.
