Rear Bike Carrier

Postby Becky » Mon Jul 02, 2007 6:29 pm

I just purchased an Alaga Rear Bike Carrier, as i do not have a tow bar on my car and can't afford to get a new transmission for a tow bar.

I was having a lot of trouble working out where all the straps go. I looked at the instructions and they don't really show which part of the car the straps attact to.

I drive a EL Ford Felcon, those fords what have a very horizontal boot.

I popped it onto my car and found maybe the straps go at the back of my boot where the rain goes so it doesn't go into the boot and to attach another strap at the bottom of the boot where the key hole is, where the boot connects to the bumper part.

But im lost to where to put the other strap??

I know thats quite long, but does anyone have an ideas where to put it onto your car, pictures would be sooooo helpful.

Thanks :D

Welcome to the madhouse Becky :D

I can't personally help you as I use a tow bar mounted carrier. But there are a couple of members who use carriers similar to yours, so just hang in there for some help. In the meantime, maybe have a yarn with your lbs (local bike shop) or the people who sold the carrier to you.
