ProBikeKit (PBK), Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles (c r c) are all fairly popular sites for buying cycling gear overseas. There's also one or two threads at the moment about people buying some Focus road bikes from Wiggle if you want some insight into how it's done, their experience etc.
If you use the search tool, you'll find hundreds of threads about which websites to order from online.

Welcome Twiggy
I have bought a bike just recently from Wiggle in the UK (a Focus like Gunlock mentioned) and it has arrived in Brisbane now, should have it in the next few days I hope. I will post a review of how it all went when it arrives.
One thing to think about, Wiggle will give you free postage on most items on orders over about AU$90 total, which still arrives in 7 days most times, so make sure you factor the postage cost in from other websites if wiggle looks a little more expensive at the start.

Keep in mind that spending over 1k can expose you to paying customs duties and/or GST on products you bring in to the country which may or may not make a significant difference to your final cost.Twiggy wrote: and maybe even a bike from overseas

G'day Twiggy,
A couple of Aussie alternatives, try:
Australian Bicycle Clothing
Le Knicks
Both of these have some obscure/rare stuff... if that's what you're into.
I have bought through both of these and was happy with the price/service.

Thanks for the welcome
I am just really looking at taking advantage of the aussie dollar being so good
maily interested in the upto date team clothing
$139 for nalini bib nicks is not bad at le nicks
as for a bike i am looking at the Rs cevelo a 5.2 trek or a specialized roubaix elite
has anyone brought a bike from the states
I am aware of all the taxes etc but just got a quote from trek and a 5.2 is still around $7000 where as even if i just paid ticket price in the states i could have it shipped for $4500
Any info would be appreciated
thanks
