Hello all,
First time poster here - just thought I would share my experience with buying a bike from the US.
The bike I saw was a "Bottecchia USA" bike - essentially a direct marketed bike that has the US rights to the Bottecchia name.

They ship only to the continental US, so I used PriceUSA.com.au as a buying and shipping agent.
With shipping (in US and to Australia), buying agent commission and GST, the bike cost about $2350 - so a pretty good price for a full carbon bike with carbon cranks and dura ace (7800) componentry. Very happy with it.
The seat simply has to go however! Otherwise everything is working nicely.
Cheers

You'll get hit with Tax on anything over $1000.00

Hi - yes, as said, the cost includes the GST component that I had to pay to have it released from customs.Missy24 wrote:You'll get hit with Tax on anything over $1000.00
