There aren't many alternatives, but they do exist, particularly for metro areas

Anyone bought from these guys? bike-parts-plus-more.com.au

Looking at M9 & M19 QR Axle cones + 1/4" & 3/16" Bearings.

The loose bearing packets appear to say made in Taiwan? What about the rest of axles & cones?

The BKP-196 50mm long Caliper Brake shoes for road bikes look cheap enough as well.

Just placed a Wiggle order, and during checkout they advised me I would be kept up to date re:delivery via SMS and email. Haven't ordered from them for a few months,be interesting to see if they keep me as updated as c r c did on my last purchase.

Also placed a Ribble order yesterday,no differences to any of my previous checkout experiences there.

Most recent order from ribble was for shiny, expensive dura ace bits. One of the bits arrived with minor purely cosmetic scratching on it. I ummed and aahhed about it for a while and decided that those scratches would bug me for a long time. Quick email to ribble - they quickly approved me to return it and within two weeks I had the replacement item and the return postage refunded.

I would not hesitate to recommend ribble.

have knicks and tights from funkier in size XL that fit great so felt safe enough ordering liners for mtb baggies. Can barely get them past my knees. I would like to think my riding has given me monster quads but it seems that this brand just has incredibly variable rulers in their design department.

I'm a bit surprised by the SLOOOOOW delivery time by Torpedo7, given they are shipping locally? Ordered 13/2 & dispatched from Sydney 15/2.... 9 days later it's still no where to be seen in Adelaide.., might have been quicker to order from the UK?!

Wiggle delivery times have slowed down..obviously having a .com.au doesn't help

Hopefully they have upped their antics a bit, I stopped using them when it had taken over a week to receive an item and I live 10 minutes down the road by car.

Never did.

The Wiggle order I placed eight days ago arrived today. No complaints there, though the checkout promise to keep me updated via SMS & email was a politician's promise. Not that it matters much, just mentioning.

Some recent orders delivered to Perth.

1. c r c - tyres, tubes and suspension oil - ordered 16th Feb (paid $9.99 shipping), dispatched 17th Feb with tracking, arrived 4th March. Just over 2 weeks (16 days to be exact). According to the tracking, it took 4 days to get from departing UK to being processed in Singapore, then 5 days between being manifested for outbound transporting Singapore to arriving in Perth.
2. Cyclestore UK - 2 jerseys ordered 22 Feb, dispatched 25 Feb, arrived 4th Mar. 10 days (7 from shipping date).
3. Velogear AU - 2 bike lights, free shipping ordered 19th Feb, Shipment advice 20th Feb (although I now see this does not necessarily mean it has shipped!) - STILL WAITING :( I have just followed up with Velogear

Take from this what you want

I ordered from Wiggle recently and the package arrived in about 8 working days. They kept me informed by email till the package left them and then provided a tracking number that I could use to follow its travels.

Only thing is, I think their packers attended the Amazon School of Packing:

Matthew, my order took four days to get from UK through the freighter's Singapore hub, overnight to Sydney, the three days for Auspost to get it to Newcastle (over a weekend). You can put your tracking number into the Auspost tracker and see if they have it yet.

Never paid the extra. Three orders all within a day or two of this

Personally only time I pay extra is when the sea mail is a month and dhl is a week or so. That happens on some sites.

Chances are with Aus post it makes no difference. As whether the goods arrive Friday or Sunday in Australia they are all delivered the same day my experience shows.

c r c - ordered a helmet

6/3 - ordered
9/3 - dispatched
18/3 - arrived

The inconsistency always boggles me, usually between one week or two, so 12 days isnt so bad i guess.

Ordered a set of Castelli bibs from Open Road Cycles via BikeExchange on the weekend.

Get an email first thing Monday morning apologising as they went to ship my order but discovered a loose thread on the bibs and they were not happy in sending them in their current state. Included a photo of the loose thread and explained that unfortunately it was the last one in that colour/size combination.

Went on to ask if I would be happy with all black bibs instead of black/white combination. Replied saying no issues and thanked them for letting me know. They were sent out that day via express post free of charge and got to the PO box Wednesday morning (no overnight to Darwin).

Great service on their part, they could have quite easily just sent out the original bibs but the fact they took the time and cared about what they were sending out is a big win in my book.

Last 2 experiences with Pushys:

1. Bought some gel and accessories. Small order.
1 week no movement and no updates. Unusual for them as they are normally really quick.
Emailed them and was delivered the following day. To compensate, they threw in 1 gel without letting me know.

2. Bought some uber expensive Exposure light on Friday night.
After trying out my friend's Six Pack, decided I didn't need 1 for road use so cancelled the order the following Monday opening time 8AM.
Order cancelled and refunded.
No issues.
