Sidi Shoe sizing

Postby r2160 » Wed Jan 27, 2010 9:58 am

Hi all

I am hoping that there is somebody in Sydney that can help.

I am looking at purchasing some new shoes. I have a wide foot that makes my life a little difficult as most shoes are simply too narrow.

I am hoping that somebody in Sydney has Sidi shoes, 43/43.5 in standard and mega so that I can get an idea of size.

Is anybody able to help?

cheers
Glenn

Dunno about Sydney but a Canberra & Adelaide (when I visited in September 09) stockist of Sidi said they won't get any Mega's in unless specially ordered due to low turn over. I also tried to get a half size and got the same story as above although my size was a little more uncommon so 43.5 might be easier.

I'm going to be in Bass Hill on Saturday evening at the velodrome and have 2 pairs of Sidi shoes, both in size 43.

This might be helpful to you also: http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=22529

Northwave shoes tend to be wider than other brands. The ones I tried on were wider than my Specilzed and not much shy of the Sidi Mega's as far as my foot could tell.

Damn those Sidi's are comfy.

I was going to buy mine at the LBS but they didn't have the Megas and weren't planning to get them in and I found the standard size too narrow. You can usually get the full size range on Wiggle and Chainreaction, which is probably easier than hunting them down in an LBS - once you know your size.

Hi,

I guess I realised when I got to the Dunc Gray that there were significantly more people there than I thought LOL.

I am sure we can catch up soon, if you are able, pm me your phone number and we can sort it out.

cheers

Yeah, the worst part is that I was wishing that I had entered.

Never Mind, hopefully we can catch up and I can get my feet finally sorted!
