Advice about Buying Combo's from Torpedo

Postby auswi » Sun Jan 31, 2010 10:15 pm

I am looking to byuy my 1st road bike shoes and clipless pedals and I come across this combo on the Torpedo website. ... imano-R540)

Has anyone brought these combos before and any advice would be great on the shoes and pedals.

For the price it looks like a good deal.

The shoe sizing might be difficult and I hope I can exchange if the wrong size.

Dunno about the combos Auswi but I've bought Exustar MTB shoes from T7, the sizing was pretty good. The shoes are starting to soften in the soles but they've taken a hiding in their lifetime.

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

I got a shoe and pedal combo from T7...

I followed the sizing chart online and it was perfect so dont stress about size and if your still worried when you get them leave the tags on and try them on and you should be able to exchange if their wrong and have tags......

As to quality etc, you get what you pay for but in saying that they are generally that cheap it doesn't matter and they are a good starting point to see if you like clippy pedals or not without a substantial outlay.
