Looking for Bag to sit on top tube

Postby auswi » Mon Feb 08, 2010 2:51 pm

Hello,

I am looking for a small bag that can sit on or under the top tube of my road bike.

I want to use it for extra storage and for food bars etc. I have a small bag under my seat for 1 tube and tyre leavers but require additional storage.

I have looked at heaps of LBS but was unable to find any.

Any suggestions for online stores etc.

Cheers

Wayne

Where abouts are you?

I know BSC and Cecil walker have them in Melbourne. $30ish dollars from memory, topeak branded.

I think they do online orders too - not sure, never used them.

Hi

They are often referred to as Tri-bags. A search should come up with numerous brands/suppliers.

Ordered this, yet to arrive, so I can't comment about quality or function. Possibly a bit too big but cheap enough.

I bought a Topeak Tri Bag from Cell Bikes for carrying snacks on longers rides. Very handy bag although I do find they sometimes rub against the inside of my legs when I'm out of the saddle. Iv'e got used to it now though by trying not to sway the bike so much.
