Hmmmmm  Still waiting for the parts to arrive from Ribble  If they had only packed it within 2 days from receipt of order, then it probably would have not been caught up on the volcano saga, the bike would be together, and I'd be riding it this weekend in the beautiful weather that we have coming up :?

On a brighter note, just scored a set of Dura Ace 7700 series hubs (F & R) in 32H, so I can build up a set of beautiful wheels to really suit the frame.

Standby to standby ....

Almost there ....

Spent a few hours last night installing cables and chain and tuning the FD & RD. The FD worked a treat right off the bat, but the RD is proving a bit more troublesome :? . Shifts OK and to each end, but just can't get it to run smoothly on the inner 27T despite the B screw being screwed with. Lots.

May try a different cassette (12-25) and see what the result is.

Then it's fit pedals, pump up tyres (to seat bead), inject some Stans, pump up again, wait for a dry sunny day  , and ride like I stole it ....

Pics to come.

Weighs in at 9.3kg which is not too bad considering is has a 530g Brooks saddle, is an XL frame (580TT) and has a 32 spoke handbuilt wheelset weighing about 1920g before tyres, cassette (105 level).

Fisrt ride hopefully Sat morning :D :D

Looking niiiice. The Brooks looks a little anachronistic, but horses for courses (or horses for a*ses in this case).

You do realise how many bicycle photography 101 fail points you've got going on, dont you?

Magnificent! 8) The Brooks screams class as always.

Thanks Mulger.

Took it for it's maiden 50k spin in the Adelaide Hill on Sunday morning. Brilliant day, and a fantastic ride, especially down Greenhill Rd.

Seat is wearing in nicely already with a few wrinkles for the sitbones.

Absolutely love the bike. I am a very happy man :D :D :D

That is one thing I avoid like the plague.

Hi Micheal

I live in Adelaide also, Marino area. This is a long shot but do you still have your Super Corsa.

Tony

I am sure Michael will respond, but this thread was from 12 years ago, so pretty ancient.

Also asked here;
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=106566

Perhaps be more specific about what it is you would like to know.

If some random punter joined the forum to specifically ask me if I still owned a particular bike I'd be questioning why.

Nope, long gone, but did stumble across it the Gawler Cashies. Looks like it was still OK but the paintwork needed some attention.

Almost bought it back, but didnt
