The Elite Qubo Digital Smart B+ Turbo Trainer is even cheaper. Both work with Zwift and change resistance like a Kickr.

Sneaky buggers put a huge markup on AUD price (Tacx - $699) presumably because it's our winter and thus trainers are in demand.
Thanks nickdos. I ordered the Vortex, and then reading up on using it read the it fits down to 26in, while the Elite Qubo said down to 20in. So I added the Qubo to a new order for my 20-24in bikes too. It's like hen's teeth finding genuine small wheel adapters or making a good improvised solution.

Some recumbent riders may be interested in the Elite for that small wheel reason.

Missed out! How do you come across non-AU discount code?

I got the code from here: https://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/probikekit-pbk (via google search) - there is only a £12 discount code now. Edit: and a 20% code that might work (MYSTERYUK).

Just got a bench mount work stand from Velogear for $48 delivered. (Allegedly it started out at $145). In the clearance section. At $48 it's worth it. I'll likely cut off the bench mount and weld the rest on to my old stand, which doesn't rotate to hold seat posts.

Use the code ITK10 for a 10% discount, seems to always work. I just tried the scenario above using this code and going by the currency converter on xe.com it works out to about $357 ish

Thanks, I think coconut choc chip was out though when I was wishlisting some bikebug stuff ;)

When I looked at $/kg for staple dry backup on bike a long time ago, Carmans muesli bars seemed to be clearly more affordable staple for compact luggage if bananas don't fit. Carmans available at local supermarkets made it easy backup to keep in pantry.

I don't know if Aldi stock Clif but I saw some east coast YT vid with a vlogger buying dozen boxes of Clif them much cheaper, rivalling my Carmans conclusion.

Beware the new Carmans oat bars are more like a cookie, kids must love the 27% sugar and crumbly easy eating, straying from their "lunchbox friendly" slogan on their museli bars.

A couple of specials.

Capo gear.
I think it is discontinued or runout stuff - I saw roubaix arm/knee/leg warmers at Clarence St Cyclery in Sydney - $25 each (white/black/coloured promo stuff)
Capo Piemonte gloves and booties - $35 each.
That's an instore only deal

As I was browsing for warmers, I saw some Assos warmers for not much more.
Assos S7 knee warmer L/XL - $34 - http://www.tbe.com.au/products/assos-kn ... lk/189641/
Assos S7 leg warmer L/XL - $43 - http://www.tbe.com.au/products/assos-le ... ka/189644/
They do free shipping > $60
Shame they don't stock the matching arm warmers...

ProBikeKit having decent sales at the moment. Ultegra crankset is <$160 (about $200 at wiggle) - use FIRST10 as the discount code.

Ultegra C35 clinchers are $577, $150 cheaper than wiggle if you use the same code.

All based off XE exchange rates. Prices jump significantly if you pay in AUD.

Funkier waterproof jacket on special at Merlin. Got mine for AUD47 last year, now $30.49. I can confirm it is indeed 100% waterproof, best warn when its cooler since the waterproofing is both ways ie sweat cannot escape :-)

Altura Transformer Windproof Water Resistant Cycling Jacket. Looks like a very useful jacket for current conditions, Windproof and water resistant, Arms zip off if you start to overheat and you pop them in a rear pocket. About $43 AUD with free postage from the UK. I've never bought from these guys so no idea on any customer service etc.
