Interesting as it seems someone who was at one of those presentations got a different impression, as have others overseas. What exactly was said?

On the Di2 compatibility, in the initial Ultegra Di2 press releases it stated that it was not compatible with Dura Ace... so I would take this as the official line. New Wiggle 10% code from 12.06 - 18.06 Code: EXTRA10Didn't state a minimum spend.

That was correct with 7series DuraACe Di2 but 9series DA Di2 uses the same wiring harnesses, connectors etc so there is now cross compatibility i.e. the new DA TT shifters will work with Ultegra Di2.

Those links say "Item discontinued" when you try to buy?? That generation has been superseded I believe (by the G3) and from past reading back when I was tempted to buy one, they weren't known for their reliability (killing batteries, general failing of the electronics and an issue with axle/freehub bearing pre-load from memory but please have a Google for yourself) I would also highly doubt they will be Shimano 11spd upgradeable, should you require that feature in the future..

ribble cycles are still cheaper for chains (as long as you are buying a few things as they add delivery)

15% off (AT) Wiggle EXTRA15 . This is off already discouted prices but excludes bikes and gps . Bought a heap of conti tubes @15 pounds per 5 minus the 15% = ~$20Aus or about $4/tube . Less than half the price from my LBS . I also grabbed some shimano cleats for $20Aus delivered that LBS wanted $50 for . I was initially excited that there was a new bike shop 3 blocks from me , after one visit I'm over it . EDIT:corrected my maths ...

I tested it on a Garmin 800 bundle last night and it worked. Brings the price down to $420 or something like that. Pretty good considering a guy flogged off the cadence and hr on here for $100. Would bring the price down to $320.

It actually works but just make sure you compare with other sites too. I had a few things on my basket already but noticed that prices for everything went up so pretty much useless discount.

Nice discount. Dura Ace 7900 C50 CL for $1100 delivered. That's the cheapest I've seen them.

Bikeforce Docklands has Garmin Edge 500 Black/Red with HRM & Cadence for about $279. Great price...I tried to get one on-line but they won't sell it to me as apparently "at that price they are losing money on the units and the pricing is designed to get people into the shop". I checked their website and their is no mention that this is an in-store special.

Aren't there warranty issues with Garmin units bought outside of Australia?

If it stuffs up you need to send it back to the uk. Personally I can deal with that to save a few hundred (garmin 610).
