Anyone know if the battery is encased in a rubber boot or one of the basic plastic wrap jobs that fails if they get wet?

That's roughly AU$240 plus another $25 for shipping. At $265, that's about $50 cheaper than at c r c and about $160 cheaper than the local going rate. Might be worth the wait.

Mate just ordering the Uno Race ali/tiagra for $700 . I tried to talk him into the Forza but he couldn't get the go ahead from the boss .
Both good value but the Forza seems like fantastic value and free shipping is just icing on the cake .
